Hello Doctor we are married for 8 months and trying to conceive. When the follicular study done for this month we got msf in both Ovaries in the 13th day. My period is 25 days cycle and weight on the higher side 71 Kgs for 164 cms height. My Gynaec suggested siphene 100 mg for D2 to D6 this month and Glycomet 500 mg twice daily and APCOD Sachet twice daily and Folicit tablets.. After this medication I'm feeling dizzy and Headache. Is it normal.?
Your doctor has put you on a treatment typical for PCOS (polycystic ovaries syndrome).
Siphene is the trade name of clomiphen, a drug used in those women who have hormonal imbalance.
Glycomet is the trade name of metformin, a drug used to lower blood sugar and also in PCOS.
As Glycomet lowers blood sugar, that makes you feel dizzy and headache. You can check your blood sugar at the moment you are feeling dizzy, and I am sure, the results will be "low blood sugar" or "hypoglycemia".
If you find low sugar readings, have something sugary to eat to bring it back to normal levels again.
APCOD sachet is the powder form of vitamin D.
As you may see, the problem is related to the use of Glycomet. I would suggest to talk to your doctor to reduce its dose or to stop using it.
Hope it helped!
