Taking Diva OD For Epilepsy. Had Seizures. Dizziness, Lack Of Alertness, Neck Pain. Side Effects?

hi sir.i am suffring from epilepsy.i had seizure 18 months ago.i xonsult with nearest neurologist.he gave me diva od 750 mg.i am taking this medicine since 18month.i had seizur 4-5 time earlier.before i used to take valprol with same doctor.but when i had last seizur in 18 months back he gave me diva od.now i am feeling very dizzines.less alert.i am not able to work actively.and some time i have pain in my nack thru my brain.it makes me very lazy.i dont know wheather this is an side effect of diva od.is this medicine is safe for me to continue?? my eeg report and mri are normal.should i take thos medicine??

i must say Diva Od is very effective, but reactions might differ from patient to patient. Modification of treatment must take into considerations the effectiveness of the treatment, side effects and proven long term benefits of the treatment.

Modification of anti epileptic treatment deserves coorperation of the patient and physician. this is so important because one of the goals of treatment in epilepsy i progressive withdrawal of drugs when seizures are controlled and patient remains stable for quite some time.

It s true its justified maybe to change the dose or drug type due to side effects of the drug, but it is important to do so with the consent of your doctor. Abrupt reduction or stopping of a drug could lead to a rebound effect with numerous epileptic seizures.
