Taking Prednisone For Excess Water Fluid Which Has Resulted In Swollen Ankles And Knees. How Long Does It Take To Work?
I I have been put on diuretics to help excess water fluid, swollen ankles knees and basically the whole body. I had rumotoid arthis it only bugs at my knees now. I have been on prednisone for the last three years so hoping that flushing out the pressure of the water around my knee's may help me to be able to come of prednisone. I have been on them this is my 3rd day how long until they start working? I noticed a bit of a loss the fist morning after. Am I suppose to drink water to help them work. Thank you. I have had a fluid build up for about 3 years I am amazed the doc did not give them to me earlier. I asked for them, hoping to alleviate the pressure around my knees
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. Prednisolone has an anti inflammatory effect and will decrease the pain and further swelling.
