Taking Diabeta SR And Gemer Forte For Diabetes. What Are The Side Effects ? Need Diet Advice

my mother aged 65 diabetic for past 10 yrs - ten days back sugar level FBS-148 &PRBS- 215 corres. urine- nil edication- Diamicrom-XR 60 before B/fast and Diabeta SR 500 1/2 tab . Again after 10 days RBS-272 & PRBS-306 corres urine 2% now recommended by diabetologist Gemer forte 2 1 tab before B/fast and 1 tab before dinner . What are possible side effects and any suggested diet for sugar level control /

In my opinion in this particular case , she may go into Hypoglycemia (low blood sugars) with this above medication (Gemer forte is a combination of Glimeperide & Metformin). You better speak to your Diabetologist again ; review her medication and considering Insulin.
