Taking Folic Acid, White And Heavy Discharge. Reason?
hello doctor, we are planning for a baby and doctor suggested to take folic acid tablet and i m taking it from past 15 days. now i getting a lot of white clear heavy discharge from past 12 days & i m no where in the ovulation period now. may i know the reason for this discharge even after ovulation. my id v_vam15@ WWW.WWWW.WW

Folic acid is a vitamin essential in pregnancy and prior to conception if you plan to conceive.
It has no side effect of increasing the white discharge or causing white discharge.
Its just coincidental that your discharge has increased since the intake of tablets.
Heavy white discharge which is foul smelling, associated with itching is not normal and not due to ovulation. Also if its thick curdy white with itching, chances of fungal infection are more. White discharge which has fishy odour especially after intercourse can be due to bacterial vaginosis.
To rule out these infections, you need to go to a gynecologist for an internal examination.
Its important to treat all infection prior to conceiving as presence of infection can lead to miscarrigae.
