I have an intermittent “tearing” sensation under my left shoulder blade, close to the spine. It subsides when I am lying down. If I look down, the pain intensifies greatly. The pain also increases when I look up or to the left; not as much as looking down, but a definite increase. There is little or no increase to the pain when I look to the right. This has been occurring since Thursday evening (3.5 days). This had happened previously, about a year ago. The same symptoms lasted for about 6 weeks and then went away during a business trip. Last year I saw my doctor who referred me to a chiropractor; I saw the chiropractor for about 3 weeks at which point she wanted x-rays. I had a business trip to take, so I was unable to get the x-rays, but the pain went away completely so I didn’t bother. I am beginning to think it is a slipped disk or something similar. Please advise.
