It s called an aorta bi-femoral bypass. Until yesterday, I d never heard of it. Unfortunately he didn t do well on a stress test that would have cleared him for this bypass, so it s off to a heart cath Monday. Between the cath findings and the other surgery , he s going to have many weeks of recovery time. He s only 40 and we ve never experienced anything like this before. What are some things I need to do to prepare us for the coming days and weeks? At the moment, my brain is too scattered to think, and I need to do something productive, you feel me? Thank you both and big *huggles* to you essentiallysolo. That s definitely something I can go ahead and work on. Such changes in diet may seem a simple task for some, but it isn t going to be easy. He s has shamelessly used table salt and eaten beef almost daily for over 10 years. I ll change my diet with him, that way it ll be a household rule for everyone. No fat and no salt allowed!!
