Tender Lump On Back Of Head, Shooting Pain In The Neck And Top Of Head When Turning. Reason?

I have a sort of like a lump/swelling on the back of my head above the neck, only on the right side. It is tender, if I touch it, it shoots pain into my neck and towards the top of the head. I have an ungoing headache, but it is only on the right side and if I turn my neck certain way, it shoots strong pain into my neck and towards the top of the head.

Hi there ~

I understand your concern. The tender lump on the back of your head with shooting pain in your neck and top of the head while turning seems to be the result of a pinched nerve in the lump that you have. Getting rid of the lump will also get rid of the pain. I hope this helps.

Take care and have a lovely day!
