Tender, Moving When Pressed, Lumps At The End Of Clavicle. Prescribed Anti-inflammatories. Any Ideas?
I had a tender lump at the end of my right clavicle (at base of neck) that was very tender. Saw doctor who ordered a cat scan (?), everything looked fine. She had a surgeon look at it, both said it was unusual but not sure what it was. Suggested anti-imflammatory for a month. I now have another lump and swelling further up the clavicle, towards the shoulder. This one is not tender, and it tends to move around when I press on it. The other lump is hard like bone. What should be the next step?
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The lumps that you have mentioned are likely to be due to swollen lymph nodes. This usually needs systemic antibiotics and anti inflammatory medicines to take care of the infection. FNAC will help in confirmation of diagnosis.
