if you start on Coumadin do not radically change your diet. You should keep your diet the same as before you were on Coumadin. If you totally stop eating leafy greens or go overboard you can have problems with your blood levels of vitamin K. For example, if you eat broccoli once a week, continue to do so. This is contrary to advice given years ago that you should not eat any foods high in vit K
