You have taken a thyroid ultrasound scan and findings as as follows: 1. Complex cysytic mass with low level echoes in left lobe of thyroid lower pole. It measures 21 x 18 x 25 mm. 2. A solid nodule in interpolar region of right lobe of thyroid. It measures 8 x 6 x 4 mm. 3. Both lobes of thyroid are enlarged in size and show inhomogeneous echotexture.
Your age and other medical history concerning indication for thyroid ultrasound is not mentioned. With these findings, a medical disease of thyroid can be suspected. This needs confirmation with thyroid function tests (T3, T4 and TSH). An endocrinologist can help you. A surgical opinion may be necessary and if required a simple FNAC test of complex cystic nodule contents can be done.
Hope this helps.
