Tightness In Chest, Difficulty In Taking Deep Breathes, Breathlessness And Cough. Habit Of Smoking. Help
I'm a smoker and have been for 2 years, Im 23 years old. I most aout 10 cigarets a day. The last few days my chest has been feeling really tight and it's hard to get deep breaths. If i run, I lose my breath so quickly and cant get it back. If i laugh, I also lose my breath and start coughing. Could this be because of the smoking?
Many teenagers and adults think that there are no effects of smoking on their bodies until they reach middle age. The effects of tobacco smoke on the respiratory system include: Irritation of the trachea (windpipe) and larynx (voice box) Reduced lung function and breathlessness due to swelling and narrowing of the lung airways and excess mucus in the lung passages Impairment of the lungs’ clearance system, leading to the build-up of poisonous substances, which results in lung irritation and damage Increased risk of lung infection and symptoms such as coughing and wheezing Permanent damage to the air sacs of the lungs.
these effects are due to smoking. please discontinue it
