Tingling And Burning Under The Heel After Spraining The Ankle. Could There Be A Nerve Damage?
I sprained my left ankle (possible hairline fracture ) 4 days ago..and for the past 3 days it s been freezing cold from the top of my ankle to my toes and it s burning hot and tingling and the bottom of my heel feels like pins and needles. I still cannot put a lot of pressure on it! Is it possible I have nerve damage or something else?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement, Dr. Saurabh Gupta's Response
Without X-ray, it is difficult to differentiate a fracture from others. I suggest you to consult an orthopaedician nearby for a detailed examination. You may get the X-ray of the area affected under his/her guidance.
In the interim, apply ice packs to the affected area,anti-inflammatory drug like motrin to reduce pain and inflammation. Avoid lifting and rest well.
Wishing you good health...
Regards.
Dr Saurabh Gupta.
