Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Tingling Feeling Inside Stomach, No Pain, Discomfort For 1 Year
i feel as if something is crawling or turning inside the left side of my stomach but its not exactly painful but just uncomfortable. over a year now. what could this been?
Thank you for your query. Sometimes, spleen (a vascular organ in the left of the stomach) may become enlarged and result in a dragging or crawling sensation like yours. This can enlarge due to various causes like some infection (kala azar, dengue, malaria, certain fungal infections etc), certain blood disorders (like leukemia etc) or some autoimmune condition.
If I would have seen a patient with your complaints, I would have suggested an Ultrasound of the abdomen to find out the definite condition, and manage accordingly.
I would suggest you to consult an Internal medicine specialist for a thorough diagnosis and management of your condition.
Hope I've been able to satisfy your query. If you have any further clarifications, please don't hesitate to ask me. Best of luck.
Dr. Sourav.
