The girl that i have been having sex with has developed a tiny red lump on her labia .I have been tested twice in the past 5 yrs for stds and have spoken to the girls before having sex an d discussed stds.I have done some research on the internet and it does not sound like an std.More like an ingrown hair pimple etc...She is going to see her GP tomorrow. Are you able to shed any light on it so that she does not stress .She is concerned. Thanks
Hello, Although red vaginal bumps are often associated with certain sexually transmitted diseases, most people who have this symptom are simply suffering from a condition known as genital acne (blocked and infected sweat lands). Being warmer than the rest of the body the bacteria grow very fast. The other factors are poor hygiene, hormonal changes, tight clothing, shaving of the area, being exposed to a humid climate and the constant rubbing of the thighs. Oral and topical antibiotic and anti inflammatory drugs along with proper hygiene will cure the condition. Best wishes
