Tongue Pain, Pins And Needles Sensation, Circular Spot, No Burn Or Cut, Random Episode. Cause Of Worry?

I have had a painful tongue or the past 6 days. Sore and almost like pins and needles but not numb. Worse when I eat as I notice it more or when I use my tongue. Then yesterday and today I noticed a very small circle spot in the dead center of my tongue. When I touch it, it s painful but up until this appeared, actually touching my tongue didn t hurt At all like it was internal? But now that spot hurts. I did not to my knowledge burn , cut or hurt my tongue in any way. This started randomly one night. Please help!

Hello,

Welcome to health care magic forum.

Pain sensation on tongue can be due too depapillation as well due to lesions of oral submucous fibrotic bands.

I would suggest you to avoid spicy foods, betel nut or tobacco chewing.

Maintain oral hygiene well.

Floss your tongue daily.

I would suggest you to take nutritious diet.

Usually, corticosteroids as well as vitamin B complex supplements are administered in such cases.

Hope this helps.

I wish you good health.
