My right tonsil is hard on the lower part of it. Top feels soft but has a red sore on it that's been there for a minimum of 3 months now. I was exposed to mold a few months ago, with stomach and lung pain. This is what brought everything on. But everything went away except my thorat discomfort when I moved out of the moldy house. I went to an ENT, he put a camera all the way down my thorat to voicebox, tissue looks fine. 3 months ago, I started getting my entire left side of my neck swollen - mostly from my saliva gland under my chin. NOTHING has gotten better, including the open sore on my tonsil in over 3 months. I just recently saw an Endocrinologist (gland person) who said my thyroid was swollen. We did an ultrasound and found multiple cysts at the bottom of my neck too. Mind you, majority of my discomfort is at the top of my neck! That's where everything feels swollen. Bottom of neck only has pressure. I've been on multiple antibiotics and nothing. I take Advil and Tylenol everyday to limit the swelling and pain. Any ideas??!? Who should I see next? The Ortho for injury!? By the way, the rest of me feels 100% fine. I'm not feeling knocked out, coughing, etc. But I have been bed riddening myself to get lots of rest. And of course, I'm drinking water like a fish and I have tried salt water gargling for 2 months to get rid of the sore, nothing. Is this really an allergic reaction that my body probably needs an epi-pen to stop over exagerating the mold allergy?? Considering that 3 DIFFERENT types of lymph nodes are swollen (tonsil, thyroid and saliva glands) is it just a unknown virus perhaps? Please help!! I honestly don't know what to do next and I've been like this for 5 months now. Thank you!
