Tore Plantaris Tendon While Playing. Tight, Sore To Touch. Specialist Opinion Required?
I heard a pop while playing volleyball last Tuesday. I went to the doc Wednesday and he said I tore my plantaris tendon . He said it should be getting better in a week but if not go see an ortho. Today it is still very tight, sore to the touch. Do I need to seek more advice? The swelling has gone down but I can t extend my leg as far as I could last Friday.

Hi. Thanks for your query. I think you have a bad tear of the plantar tendon. I can suggest Hot and cold compressions along with rest for two to three weeks. If still no relief seek a Orthopaedicians advice. I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.
