Trying To Reduce Weight. All Reports Normal. Any Need To Take Dose For Thyroid?
I am trying to reduce my weight. My medical reports are fine. I need to reduce atleast 7-8kgs. My basal body temperature is mostly around 97.3- 97.8 . Today, infact for the first time it came down to 96.8. I would like to know why is this and my dietician is saying to take a small dose for thyroid . Is it required? my thyroid reports are fine.
hi r00v.....if your thyroid reports are fine, i suggest do not take any medications for thyroid or any such small dose..all you need to do it up your exercise like you can do cardio (walks, jog, swim, run, dance, aerobics) and resistance training in the gym on alternate days.. this will increase your muscle mass and metabolic rate which will aid fat burning process..eat small meals every 2-3 hours to keep your metabolic rate up.. healthy breakfast like oats/ muesli with milk or muesli with yogurt, fruits and nuts as mid meals, have high protein foods like sprouts, egg whites, chicken salads or wrap as evening snacks, for lunch salad with some multigrain bread/ brown rice+ veggies+ chicken/ fish/ curds/pulses, and avoid carbs for dinner like breads, rice and have soups, salads and veggies/ non fried non veg.. drink plenty of water throughout the day.. sleep well..
