Gall Bladder Ultra sound results: There is echcogenic foci in the gall bladder measuring up to 5.6 mmin size, no evidence of gall bladder wall thickening is seen. Negative Murphy's sign. Impression: There appears to be polyps in the gall bladder. No eveidence of cholecyctitis. Question: I hve had a few small poylps before in the GB, but wht is the ecchofenic foci? Liver and pancreas unremarkable.
hi Dear and welcome to health care magic .... echogenic foci means any thing in the lumen of gall bladder ,which seem brighter on ultra sound ....it may be stone ,sludge ,concretion or polyp ..... if your age is less than 50 years...and it is asyptomatic,then nothing to be worry about,but to be on the safe side,further evaluation should be done,especially abdominal CT scan .... wish you good health ...
