Ultrasound Of Uterus Done. What Are The Findings?

hi doctor, i am 37 yrs. and having 2 children 12 yrs & 3.5 yrs. my uterus is bulky in size and measures (9.1 x 6.3 x 5.4 cm). Myometerium shows heterogenous echotexture and presence of echogenic linear striations and subendometrial cysts. Endomyometrial junction is poorly defiled. Findings are S/o diffuse adenomyosis. Endometrium is central and measures 14.3 mm

Hello
Thanks for writing to HCM

You are suffering from adenomyosis of uterus,so your uterus size is increased.
In this disease endometrial tissue, which normally lines the uterus, grows into the muscular wall of the uterus. It causes formation of small cysts and loss of endometrial-myometrial differentiation.
Treatment options are both conservative and surgical.
Treatment options depend upon many things like age, patient willingness etc. It can be discussed with gynecologist.
