Ultrasound Said Fetal Yolk Sac & Fetal Poles Seen However With Cardiac Activity Not Appreciated. Worry?
Hi doctor I am Snigdha. I ve got an ultrasound report that says Fetal yolk sac & fetal poles seen however with cardiac activity not appreciated , as per the report it is 9 weeks pregnancy. My last LMP was 23rd june, I carried the pregnancy test on 30 jul which was negative but later on 12th aug the test result came positive. Please let me know what best should be done

Dear patient,
The best course of action would be to wait a few weeks, 2-3 and then repeat the ultrasound looking for fetal activity of the heart since your dates may be wrong; if no activity is seen then, it may be a miscarriage.
