Hello and welcome to HCM,
The interpretation of the ultrasound report is as follows:
1. The uterine lining known as endometrium is thickened. Normally, after menopause the endometrium becomes atrophic. a thickned endometrium beyond its normal limit can occur due to
endometrial hyperplasia,
endometrial carcinoma to name a few lesions.
A endometrial curetting or an
endometrial biopsy is required to know the cause of
thickened endometrium.
2. An echogenic lesion in the cervix suggests towards the presence of a polyp or fibroid. Both these lesions are benign. Asymptomatic lesions are of no consequence so they can be left as such.
3. A calcification in the
myometrium can be due to calcified blood vessels in the myometrium. These are normal age related lesions.
4. Presence of a small fibroid in the myometrium is again not of much significance.
However, fibroids usually occur in women in their reproductive period. They usually regress following menopause.
Consult your gynecologist for clinical examination and an endometrial curettings/ biopsy.
A hyperplastic endometrium or malignant endometrium may be the underlying disease process.
Thanks and take care
