I have a underactive thoyroid and currently taking levoxyl 50mcg I am also going through menopause I still feel tired all the time and sweaty do I need to up my thoyroid medicine?
The medication should only be adjusted if blood tests show that the thyroid hormone levels are low. If there are within normal range and you increase the thyroid medication, it could potentially result in a hyperthyroid state.
You may need to speak to your doctor to have thyroid levels done to see if low levels are contributing to your fatigue.
I hope this helps
