Hi,

Thank you for your query. As per the figures given by you, your baby is doing fine. It is very important that the weight and height should go according to the standard growth charts and not by one's expectations. It is still too early to predict the baby's final weight and height as the next rapid growth spurt occurs in the pre-pubertal age.

As regards the taste, every individual has his/her likings and your child too has it. Let the baby enjoy salty foods.

With best wishes.

Hi Fatima, Welcome to HCM.

I appreciate how much you are concerned about your daughter. However, she is just a 7.5 month old baby and the hieght and weight increase considerably over a period of time. As of now, concentrate on giving her healthy foods and ensure you give her all kinds of foods and provide her a balanced food by including milk products, fruits, vegetables, cereals, pulses, etc. Slwoly you can introduce eggs as well. If she prefers salty foods, then its fine. Give her what she likes. Do not force anything on her. Also try to make the food appealing for her like giving her bright tomato soup, watermelon juice or you can try serving these foods in an attractive cup or bowl etc. Provide foods rich in protein for tissue buillding and growth. As long as the baby is active and is at the range of the hieght and weight for the age, you need not worry. As the child grows, you can start making her do lot of jumping games, cycling, high jumps, basketball etc which will help her grow taller. Ensure you provide all the opportunity for her to grow taller before she reaches 18 yrs of age. Considering yours and your partners hieght, i am sure your daughter will definitely get at least to 5 ft 3 inches.

Good luck!!!
