Unprotected Intercourse, Spotting After Taking Norlevo. Previous Chlamydia. Is It From The Pill?
I am a 32 year old mom of 3. I have had Chlamydia before and didn't know it. I have since been treated and am now over paranoid. I am less than a week after my period. I had unprotected sex this morning and bought the Norlevo morning after pill. 6 hours later I am having spotting of the light red type of color? Could thid be from the pill or does it sound like i once again have Chlamydia?
Norlevo is a progesterone. Progesterone is a reproductive hormone that actively take part in the reproductive life of a woman.
The intake of norlevo an cause a small disequilibrium in hormonal levels that would lead to delayed menses, pv bleeding etc.
The spotting you talked off occured following the intake of the norlevo and it is certainly the norlevo that has caused a disequilibrium and it is not related to Chlamydia infection.
It is just a matter of time and all will regularized.
Hope this helps you. Best regards Dr ACHUO
