Urethreal Diverticulum Surgery For Men. Do I Need An Enema Befor Surgery ?

Im a 42 yr old male.i am having surgery to correct a urethral diverticulum. I would like a detailed discription of what is going to happen. do i need an enema befor surgery? do I need to shave the pubic region. How long do I have to have a catheter . what position am I in during surgery?

Yes they will shave the pubic region and also give u an enema. You will have to stay fasting 8 hours before the surgery. U might have to be on the catheter for upto 4 weeks depending on how fast the wound is healing. I am not too sure about the position u will be in, mostly it will be in supine position
