What Are The Chances Of Blocked Fallopian Tube After A Failed IUI While Suffering From Hyperthyroidism And PCOS?
I did my first iui this month but no success,i got my periods, iam suffering from hyperthyroidism and PCOS..my husband semen parametrs are good...doctor is telling that i may have blocked folopian tube i scared to do the tube test...plz suggest me what to do
Unfortunately, the only way to know if your tubes are blocked is to check by doing a hystosalpingogram (HSG). This procedure consists of injecting a clear radiopaque dye into your uterus while you are getting an xray so that your doctor can see if the fluid runs through the tube. I understand that you are scared of the procedure, but I can reassure you, that although it is uncomfortable, most patients tolerate it reasonably well, especially if they take ibuprofen a half hour beforehand. It only takes 30 seconds or so, and it will help you figure out what is going on so you can get pregnant. Most doctors won't even do an IUI before they've confirmed by an HSG that the tubes are open.
