What Are The Chances Of Conception After A 10 Day Delay In Periods?

hai doctor, my name is rnkmkish. I am working in gulf. Recently i got married. On sep 8th. Precently we were not planned to have a child. So for 1 month my wife had consumed the contreceptive pill Mala-d. She starte the course on october 05 & end it on november 05 since her mensus period was delayed for 1 week. After that she had stopped the pill. But now the problem is that, she didn't got her period for december. Now its already 10 days delayed. So we both are worried about that. Please give us a solution doctor..

Thanks for the query.
While using contraceptive pills, some amount of irregularity in menstrual cycles is common.
If she used pills as per the guidelines the possibility of pregnancy is less.

Let her go for pregnancy test once.
If the test shows negative result, let her consult gynecologist once and take tablets to induce withdrawal bleeding.
After getting withdrawal bleeding, she has to take contraceptive pills from the first or second day of the bleeding and has to take daily one tablet without break.
After completion of 28 pills, she has to start a new pack without break irrespective of withdrawal bleeding.
This will give protection towards conception.
