What Are The Chances Of Diabetes Having High Cholesterol And Triglycerides?

hi, I m 51 in December, my weight is 55 kg, my height is 1m48. I got here my blood test result: cholesterol total: 278; HDL- 55, LDL-173 and my Triglyceriden is 248 mg/dL. I don t feel good ... do you think that I m in a danger zone of diabetes too? thank you.

Hello,
the results you've presented are no reason for your 'bad' feeling because they do not cause symptoms. You cannot speculate whether you have diabetes or not based on the above results. A fasting glucose is appropriate in your case. More detailed evaluation may be needed depending on the results of the fasting glucose measurement.
Since your lipid results are not very good, you need a cardiovascular risk assessment. Your blood pressure, history of hypertension, smoking habits etc are vital information for that. You can check with your doctor or ask again providing all the details for a risk estimation.
