What Are The Complications Of High Sugar Level In Blood?
I ran out of NPH insulin a few days ago, and have just been using my metformin to control my blood sugar, however my blood sugar is currently 589, and that is after I three 1,000 milligram metformins. My question is should I go to the ER? And what are the possible compications I could face with blood sugar this elevated?

sir your sugar values are really high.When the sugar values are this high you will be dehydrated.Its better to go to the hospital and check for ketones in urine.If urine ketones are positive Metformin is not advisable.you will have to take shirt acting insulins for the time being and later switch over to old regimen.
