Hello and welcome to HCM,
PSA stands for prostatic specific antigen.
PSA is secreted by the prostate gland.
Its normal value is less than 4 ng/dl.
It is increased in cases of benign prostatic hyperplasia, acute prostatitis, infact of prostate and cancer of prostate.
Estimation of free PSA, bound PSA and ration of free to bound PSA is used for assessment of risk for developing or having cancer of prostate.
In cancer of prostate, bound PSA is increased and free PSA is decreased.
The ratio of free to bound PSA if less than 6% is suggestive of cancer and levels above 23% is suggestive of benign prostatic hyperplasia.
Your test shows that the ratio is 159% which is well above 23%.
Thus, there is benign prostatic hyperplasia and no evidence of cancer.
Benign prostatic hyperplasia is treated by surgical removal.

Thanks and take care
