What Are The Normal Lipid Profile Reading For A Mid Aged Woman?
I am 46 yrs female. my lipid profile report is Cholesterol 193mg/dl triglycerides 482mg/dl hdl colesterol 34mg/dl ldl cholestrrol62mg/dl vldl cholestreol96.40mg/dl non hdl chlorestreol 159mg/dl iam a patient of hypothyroidism since last 17 yrs .kindly suggest.
You have increased triglyceride level,LDL ,VLDL level and borderline high cholesterol level. You need few more investigations like random blood sugar(RBS),renal function test(RFT),complete liver function test,urine RE/ME,ultrasound of abdomen.
You should avoid red meat and high fat milk products. You should avoid fried and junk food and avoid alcohol completely if you take it.
Medicines should be prescribed after complete investigations. I suggest my patients to take combination tablet of atorvastatin 10 mg and fenofibrate 160 mg at night after dinner.
You should increase your physical activity in the form of exercise and walking.
