What Are The Painful Lumps Found Under The Rib Cage That Are Suspected To Be Tumors?
DR.EXAMINED PAINFUL LUMPS UNDER MY RIGHT RIB CAGE. hE SAID THEY WERE FATTY TUMORS AND DID THNG. tHEY ARE SO PAINFUL WITH CERTAIN MOVEMENT i AM ON LORATAB. tHAT AND AVLEVE DON T HELP THE PAIN. tWO YEARS AGO i HAD A 5FT FALL WHICH RESULTED IN A FIXATURE ON A SHATTERED LEG. i COMPLAINED AND A ct SHOWED NOTHING. had barium enmium that was negative. Please help. Thank you!
hi if you are really suspecting it to be a tumour i would suggest you request your dr to perform a biopsy thats the only way to confirm a tumor
i think he suspects a lipoma a collection of fat that is usually harmless and does not cause any trouble you have pain too so we need to be sure that its not something else it could of course be a lipoma compressing a nerve but an alternative diagnosis should be ruled out and the only way to do that is a biopsy, preferably and excision biopsy
also note if you have pain in any other part of the body or feel any other lumps or lymphnodes
its costly and maybe irrelevant at this stage but a pet scan can also help best of luck
