What Are The Risks Of Sun Exposure After Taking Zoladex Injection?

I have had an injection of Zoladex, but I like to be out of doors in Florida. How do I tell if I am getting too much sun, and what are the risks? I am 72, 5'-7", 152 lbs, no significant medical problems or medicines, and have prostate cancer. The Zoledex is pre-radiation treatment.

Hello
I have gone through your question.
I can understand your concern.

Zoladex (goserelin) is a man-made form of a hormone that regulates many processes in the body.

Zoladex is used in men to treat symptoms of prostate cancer and in women to treat breast cancer or endometriosis.

1. When you take zoladex, you should avoid sun exposure. Wear SPF 15 (or higher) sunblock and protective clothing.

2.One of the most important riscs of taking Zoladex is that it can decrease bone mineral density, which may increase your risk of developing osteoporosis. This risk may be greater if you smoke, drink alcohol frequently, have a family history of osteoporosis, or use certain drugs such as seizure medications or steroids.
Hot flashes,Loss of libido and Impotence are other riscs of the treatement with Zoladex.

Hope i have answered to your questions. If you have other doubts feel free to ask.
