I totally understand your concerns about the rash.
the following points should be taken into consideration :
1- Symptoms of drug allergies may start quickly, within the first day or two after taking the drug. The reaction also can be delayed and not occur until 8 to 10 days after starting the drug. Due to the following symptoms of itching and rash, it seems to be an
allergy from taking Klavox.
2- A less common type of
allergic reaction is called
serum sickness. This can occur days or even a week after starting a medication. The symptoms of serum sickness include skin rashes, hives,
fever and joint pain. This is unlikely in your case due to the absence of fever or joint pain.
3- You should stop Klavox. An antihistamine is recommended to decrease itching and the rash in your case. Antihistamine such as
loratidine.
4- Regarding your
sore throat, and due to the fact that you used a strong antibiotic (klavox) to treat the
ear infection, it is unlikely to be a bacterial infection, unless the bacteria is resistant to klavox (which is unlikely but possible). The most possible reason is a viral infection, and to be noted that it is well known that a vital infection (EBV or CMV) after taking klavix will cause rash.
5- recommendations : stop klavox, take antihistamine, monitor your temperature, keep yourself hydrated, you must get better within few days.
