Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Vitamin E is a fat soluble vitamin whose recommended daily dose is 1000 IU.
The excess of vitamin E may cause the hypervitaminosis E which may lead to decreased coagulation capacity of blood so it is advisable to take vitamin E on a physician opinion.
The tanning of skin is not related to stopping of vitamin E, it might be related to direct sun exposure for which you need to have protection from the sun either by use of scarfs, etc., or by use of sunscreens (SPF more than 30%)
So my opinion is that it is better you consult the skin specialist who will prompt you proper treatment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Anup Karmarkar
