What Are The Side Effects Of Glimestar?

Dear Dr. Shankdar, thank you for this opportunity. I was prescribed GLIMESTAR M2 tabs during my last visit to a Doctor in Goa. Prior to this I was taking Glynase 5mg one tab a day. Perhaps glynase may not be making an effect on me, therefore the change! I am almost 60 now but I feel weak and thirsty even after taking glimestar (which I assume to be a much stronger dose) May I ask why? Thank you, Kind Regards, Hilary Fernandes, Muscat, Oman

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history you seem to have uncontrolled blood sugar apparently due to inadequate dose of Glimestar-M2. Advised to check your blood sugar and consult your doctor for further evaluation and possible use of alternative/additional medicine to control your blood sugar.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
