my period is due in one or two days and i am experiencing a sharp pain near my belly button and i do have a ovarian cyst(simple cyst) in right ovary - consulted doctor for it they said it is normal and will go.i am concerned about this pain now - i am trying to get pregnant - is it a sign of pregnancy

Ultrasonography along with color doppler examination can get you the correct diagnosis.
The color doppler can tell us about the blood supply.If it is less or nil , one can take as a sign of torsion and needs urgent surgery.
There is a possibility of a tubal pregnancy. Which can give other symptoms also.
