Thanks for writing to us with your health concern. Inguinal Hernia mostly manifests as a swelling in the groin, which seems to descend down on standing up and reduces on lying down. It is also associated with a vague dragging kind of a pain. It increases in size on coughing and normally even if its protruding, the patient will be able to push it back himself/ herself provided there is no obstruction.
