Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my 20-month-old has a distended belly and I'm concerned. he (and the rest of the family) had a stomach bug of vomiting and diarhea last week. that's behind us, but the protruding, stiff stomach is new between today and yesterday. could this mean dehydration?
Hallo . Thank you for asking this question . If he is passing urine regularly than it is not dehydration . Belly distension means electrolyte imbalance specially low potassium . Give him liquid rich in potassium and ORS . Hope I have answered your query . For further questions please contact .
