Hi doctor, my tsh level increases when I conceive. And after delivery it comes down to normal and I stop taking medicines. But this time when I conceived and my tsh increased doctor prescribed me thyronorm 25mcg but unfortunately I had missed abortion. After abortion also my doctor asked me to continue this medicine as I am planning a baby and asked me to monitor the tsh every month through blood test. I m taking it after abortion and it is being three months after abortion. Now this month my period got delayed by 10 days and still hasn t come. My tsh droped to .0954. What should I do now? Is it hyperthyroidism? what should I do to get my period regular?
The normsl range of TSH is 0.2 to 5.0 micro international units per ml. In hyperthyroidism, TSH level decreases. Irregular menstrual cycles are common in hyperthyroidism. Treatment shuld be taken for hyperthyroidism, once TSH level reaches normal reference range, then cycles will be normal. Then losing weight is also possible.
