What Are The Symptoms Of Uti?

I dont usually wear tampons but wore one yesterday. When I took it out last last I felt a dull pain when urinating. This morning I went to urinate and felt the same pain. There is no urge to urininate any more than normal or a feeling of not emptying my bladder. Could this be the beginning stages of a UTI or problems from the tampon. I dont find them to be very easy to come out once they're in. My cervix sits very far back.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The condition of urinary problem indicates tampon induced vaginal infection.

My guidelines at present
- Drink more liquids.
- Keep the vaginal parts clean with antiseptic liquid, dry.
- Wear loose, clean, cotton inner wears.

Follow up after 24 hours about the progress of the condition and for the further guidelines.

Thanks.
