Hi

One major side effect of isotretinoin is that it dries tissues, causing dry skin, cracked lips, dry mucous membranes. This cause dryness, redness and peeling of skin. You can continue the drug for 8 to 10 weeks. In case of severe redness, avoid using the drug.Effects of the drug can exist for a few weeks after stopping the drug.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
