What Can Be Reason For An Unremarkable Arthrogram?

I am suffering from subacromial bursitis. This diagnosis was made on April 12, 2010 following an injury on April 6, 2010 to my shoulder. I received trigger point injections on April 12 and May 10, 2011. On June 7, 2010, I underwent an arthrogram to the right shoulder that was unremarkable. Did the trigger point injections for two consecutive months prior to the artrogram play any part in the normal arthrogram? I am still treating with physical therapy, meds and trigger point injections. Thank you for your opinion.

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

Normally no communication exists between the shoulder joint and the subacromial bursae;
After arthrogram, when radiopaque dye is injected into the shoulder and is subsequently demonstrated in the subacromial bursa, a rotator cuff tear is supposed to be present.

If it is unremarkable then your injury has healed but there will be residual pain.
