Dear madam i can understand your concern
in my opinion your son might be in honeymoon phase of diabetes.
in honeymoon phase the pancreas will restart and starts working in normal phase
to rule out the type 1 diabetes
i suggest you to check GAD 65 antibodies and Islet cell antibodies.
some patients will reduce there insulin dose ti 20%-30% of there usual dose and many will stop using insulin also.
my suggestion is very simple
kindly check sugars frequently once daily after taking food and maintain chart
Hope I was able to help you.
If you have any further question feel free to write me back. I will be happy to help.
Take care.
Best Regards.
