Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I recently (6 months ago) had a TFCC repair done on my wrist. I thought it was caused by twisting the hand and hard yard work. Now my other wrist is bothering me on the ulnar side as well and I m wondering if it wasn t a mechanical problem but maybe caused by lupus. What are your thoughts?

What Causes TFCC Injuries On The Wrist?
Hello, If you cannot relate it to any mechanical stress then we cannot rule out the possibility of other conditions. The hands and wrist are frequently involved in immune-mediated inflammatory disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) etc. TO CONCLUDE : 1) discuss with your doctor about the possibility of autoimmune conditions 2) check for the symptoms in out of the joints carefully and note them Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. ASIF, General & Family Physician
