What Causes A Large Mole With Bulbous Round Top Inside The Ear?

I'm wondering about a rather large, mole inside my ear with a bulbous round part on top of it. There is no pain or problem, other than it is so large. It is light brown in color and has been there approximately a year and a half w/o symptoms. I have no insurance and wondering if I need to be worried.
