What Causes A Leg Cramp After Sustaining Ankle Fracture?

I broke my ankle two weeks ago, and started having a leg cramp while driving. There us a history of deep vein thrombosis on both sides of my parents, and the orthopedist told me to report to the emergency should I experience a continuous leg cramp. The cramp is gone but there is still a tightness. I take a baby aspirin a day, but took a refular aspirin when I got home. Should I have this checked out? I am 54 years old, 5 feet 4 inches, in good health with a few allergies (dust, animals, grass, etc.) Thank you, Elizabeth
