What Causes A Purple Colored Bump On The Face Of A Child?
My 15-month-old has had a bump on his face for the past 8 months. I thought it was a pimple when it stated. However, it has never gone away and will get larger and smaller. It used to be red but now it seems purple has a hint of black. The pediatrician gave us acne cream but it does not work. We are seeing a dermatologist but they can t see us until Jan.

Hi...bumps over face could be a dermoid cyst. I do think a cream will work for a tissue swelling causing a bump. But skin conditions are best treated as after directly seeing them. I suggest you either upload an image here on this website or consult a dermatologist regarding this.
